the file in post n19 is an .img you can copy directly in your sd in device: sd/Garmin/yourmap.img
Basecamp will show it too in sd plugged to your pc, but it's not a pc installation for Basecamp or Mapsource, we don't have original one.
You can create it with Gmaptool but you'll loose address search.

With new Basecamp you can use Trip Planner with this map , add routes, waypoints etc
