I just made a mistake I just needed to select my libary, stupid of me...
The reason why I would install it into Basecamp or Mapsource is because I'm then able to put multiple maps on a SD card to Garmin device. After installing I select all the portions of maps I want to have on my sd card and send them to the device. I think this is still the most common used way of working right?
So when you use GMAPtool, you are able to install it in Basecamp but you can't search anymore on places. Do you also lose the search function on your device also?
What search function do you mean? Is this CTRL + ALT + F? Yelp search? I don't think so right, since yelp is internet search.
I do a search right now I can't find anything.
What is the best way to get multiple maps on a device (including img files)

Yes no address search, in BC and in device, only search by POIs.

If you have an .img (original and not made with Gmaptool splitted map for Mapsource) copy directly in device after unlocking. New devices support multiple IMGs in sd.
You have to navigate to get to the good.
