    It loooks a bit more complicated to edit language files for a nüvi 1260. Either wait for official files from Garmin (it they will ever come) or try some structured XML editor to assist the editing in a better way than a text editor.

    Thanks Ballebar. that's what I figured. This is the first Garmin I have owned (previoulsy was a TomTom owner), so I'm still figuring out the setup.

    I think the 1260T being very new, might have different file set ups (I had to figure out where to put the maps and the POI's etc.)

    A bit of trial and error. Anyway, I guess I can get by with some characters from the Danish or Dutch keyboards preinstalled, but some Icelandic characters like ş aren't found in any other keyboard (at least none that are preinstalled on my garmin)
