Thread: GPS Kort Iceland 2011 NT

Hello,
I have seen many posts about the icelandic map here and so far it's not yet completly clear to me.
What do I need to do to have this map working in Mapsource or Basecamp? I have put the iceland.img file from post 2 (Catymag) on a SD card in a map GARMIN/. In Basecamp the map is loaded and I can view it but I can't add tracks or routes, how come? Is this map routeable? How can I have this map installed in Basecamp so I can send the map together with a City Navigator to my GPS device and have both maps on it. Do I need to do an action to have an icelandic keyboard to type in the locations? Would it be still possible to go to my dutch keyboard, can you switch?
This could be fo a GPSmap, Oregon or Monterra. So far I have always borrowed a Garmin device but I would like to buy one now, still have to figure out which one.

I just made a mistake I just needed to select my libary, stupid of me...
The reason why I would install it into Basecamp or Mapsource is because I'm then able to put multiple maps on a SD card to Garmin device. After installing I select all the portions of maps I want to have on my sd card and send them to the device. I think this is still the most common used way of working right?
So when you use GMAPtool, you are able to install it in Basecamp but you can't search anymore on places. Do you also lose the search function on your device also?
What search function do you mean? Is this CTRL + ALT + F? Yelp search? I don't think so right, since yelp is internet search.
I do a search right now I can't find anything.
What is the best way to get multiple maps on a device (including img files)
