We can also reason by saying that when driving on the left, normally having the buttons on the right on the screen allows to have a constant visual on the map when manipulating with the right hand,
By using the "Drive on the right" mode which can result in driving with the right hand on the steering wheel, allows the free left hand to be used for manipulations on the gps when the latter is either in the center in a driving vehicle on the right or when the gps is on the window on the left of the driver on the mirror side in the event of driving on the left.
