First, you didn't indicate what skin you're comparing it with. Second, your picture showed other than a few minor changes (next street needing not fully bordered or a transparent next street) and slightly larger border around data fields, the space is pretty much the same. If you were using a skin that provide settable transparency level, you would see the map behind those data fields and the border size will be irrelevant. News flash, your "other information" listed are part of other skins as well and I've seen it very well organized. Finally, if you're using a skin that provide timed display, all those data fields won't even be shown fixed all the time and the map will look much "cleaner."
Exactly what I've been saying.
This is YOUR preference, some of us do want to see little map space BEHIND the vehicle.
Here is a revamp:
In your many posts you claimed how "clean" Decent skin is, then I brought up NextGen also being "clean" Then you said you don't care for it because it's not fully cracked (although I failed to see what that has to do with the "cleaniness") Your reason not to consider NextGen has nothing to do with the topic of comparing it to other skins (especially Decent) regarding the "cleaniness" of it. As I said before people preference are subjective, but if you're going to compare, compare it for the same reason. It's like a discussion is on comparing how fast two cars can go, then suddenly oh I don't like the color of that car, so I don't care for it.
It's clear to me now that you have not investigated other skins to its full potential. There are few skin that have "useful" options (much more than Decent) such as transparency control, font control, color control, timed display of buttons, etc... From what you wanting, not much code changes are needed. From what "useful" options other skins does provided, definitely yes.
