My bad - you need to put it in the ui_igo9/800x480 directory (called loading.bmp) - then it will override the loading.bmp in the data.zip file (default loading screen).

ok here's my issue lol (nothings ever simple with me!)
It looks like I have a UX overriding it...so in my root I have ux/skinevo2.4.zip That's the skin/background that's currently loading. I tried to overwrite the existing loading.bmp with mine but I got a start up error saying the resolution or skin is not supported and then the program quits. I think the skinevo.zip ux is what's giving me the clean look in Primo so ideally id want to keep it but just amend the loading.bmp files. I've attached both the skinevo2.4.zip, sys.txt and my loading background for you guys to look at...Any chance once of you guys can help with the amendment? God knows what im doing wrong as my jaguar loading screen is saved as a 800 x 480 bmp file? so not sure why Primo is crashing when I overwrite the files.![]()
Try this (mod only for 800x480 and untested), it is assumed that you don't have any other UX's that overrides it
Spoiler: .
Update: Added to night theme as well
BTW, I don't know if your sys.txt was corrupted, but it has the following at the end
which means that setting is irrelevant to your "Reach destination" screen solution.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links

Strange... I know that there is a particular "order" that Primo used (out of data.zip, ui_igo9, UX, skin, etc), but I'm not sure of the exact order. I thought that any files in the ui_igo9 directory would override everything else, but maybe I have the order wrong.
What you could do is simply replace the loading.bmp in the skinevo UX file. If you go that route, make sure that you use an old version of WinRAR (WinRAR 4.x works - newer versions create .zip files that Primo doesn't like). Here is a link to WinRAR 4.01 - you should be able to use this to replace the loading.bmp in the skinevo UX file with your loading.bmp. At least for now until we come up with a better solution...

Hope that helps. I'll test using ui_igo9 later today - just curious if it should work or not.
Do you know what the skinevo UX file actually does? It doesn't seem to change the main Primo navigation screen (that I can see from your pics)... I'm not familiar with it off-hand.

@osiris4isis - I'm not quite sure why you are arguing with my over what I like better??? The fields are *obviously* much smaller vertically than the 3 stock fields - and I like having the sides areas of the map uncovered - where those 3 fields are on the Decent skin doesn't use any valuable space at all to me (unlike where they are with the stock skin). Not sure how to explain it any better. I see more map with the Decent skin than I do with the stock skin - and I get more information on the screen at the same time.
I tried NextGen on my device and I didn't like it. And until there is a fully cracked version, I have no interest in it whatsoever. No sure how to explain it any clearer.
I like what I like - you like what you like. Again, it's nice to have options. Lets just leave it at that, OK? You like your maps more "open" vertically - I like them more "open" horizontally, which Decent does for me. It's all good. :-)

First, I'm not arguing over what you like or not like. It's the reasons what you give that bother me. For example, it's perfectly fine to say, I like the horizontal fields better; but it's not ok to say it takes less space when it's not. That's all.
Concerning NextGen "fully" cracked reason, that has nothing to do with being "clean." Just because you don't want to use it (for whatever reason) doesn't mean others doesn't. If you're bringing in the point of a display being "clean" or "professional", lets not restrict NextGen because of irrelevant reasons.
You mentioned the ability of Decent skin having options, but at the same time frown other skins for having too many options. Pretty much everything displayed by a modded skin or using default skin, can be changed (either via options or codes) If you don't think so, then you're not using that skin correctly or its full potential. Personally I really don't care what skins people like or use, but I do care if their reasoning doesn't jive.

Ok, I don't know why I'm even replying to this (I really don't care if my reasons "bother" you or not), but here goes anyway...
Are you telling me that this screen:
Spoiler: Too Large Pic 1
has more visible map area than this screen (which contains the same information and more, not to mention other functionality that doesn't use any screen real estate):
Spoiler: Too Large Pic 2
Not only does the Decent skin show more of the map screen overall, but it also displays more information at the same time (and looks better and provides more functionality).
In terms of the data fields in the stock skin using more space compared to the Decent skin, I did a mock up for you - I put the 3 stock fields over top of the 3 Decent fields - which uses more space? If I added the other information that Decent provides on the screen (date, time, speed and second-turn info), it wouldn't even be close.
Spoiler: Too Large Pic 3
Simply put, Decent give me more information and uses less space - and the 1/4" of space that the data fields do take up is *behind* my vehicle anyway, so it would otherwise be "wasted" space. And I can even make the data fields transparent if I really wanted to show that map area as well.
Regarding NexgGen, first of all, I never said that "others doesn't" use it! Others are free to use whatever they want - for whatever reasons they want - it doesn't bother me like it appears to bother you. I never said that I don't use NextGen because it's not as "clean"" or "professional" - my point was that regardless of what else it does or doesn't do, it's a complete non-starter for me since there is no fully cracked version for WinCE. Until I can get past that limitation, I have no desire to even explore current versions. When I did try it when it first became available for WinCE in "limited crack" form, I found that I didn't like it (for a few reasons) - but the main reason why I won't even consider it *now* is because a fully cracked version doesn't exist. That is why I won't even consider NextGen - period. That is a VERY relevant reason to *me*.
I like the Decent skin for MANY reasons, one of which is the options that it does provide. Not how many options - but the usefulness of those options. When you combine that with the overall appearance and functionality, it's my preferred skin. I don't want to have to change a ton of code to get a skin that I like - especially when there is already one that does what I want. :-)
This will be my last post on the subject - I've already wasted *way* too much time on this subject...
