Glad to hear that your issue is solved!
Question for you - now that you know how to disable that screen, are you going to continue using the Decent skin or go back to the default skin (just curious)?
Personally, I love the Decent skin - especially once you figure out all of it's features.

I do like the decent skin and some of the features it comes with (like gps status/volume mute etc)...However there are a couple bits that annoy me like the timer thing (circled) I can't seem to figure out how to remove it...I'd also like to remove the speed from the bottom right. The only other thing I'd like, is to be able to do is change the skin colour so it remains on the night theme...The darker menus seem to match better with my car. If I could figure those bits out I'd provably use it as my go to skin.
At the moment I've gone back to default as its the cleanest! Less clutter then decent, but I do miss the gps status that decent shows
Next on my list is to have a Jaguar leaper logo for the loading screen...I'm struggling to even do that lol!

Yes, you can remove that timer and change it to the night view at all times. The only thing that you can't do is remove the current speed from the bottom-left (but IMO, it doesn't do much good to display the word "Menu" at all times either). I mainly like the skin because you can have the 3 data fields open at the bottom of the screen, which clears the map screen to make more f the map visible. It can be cleaner than stock while also providing more functionality. I also like the Mute/Unmute hidden hotspot a LOT (upper left-hand corner). The skin adds a whole new menu to the Setting menu - in there you can disable that time. You can make the screen the night view at all times in the Map setting (I think, I'd have to look it up). You can also get rid of the compass (and go back to the regular "More menu icon" and also remove the "average speed' from the button in the bottom left (the smaller blue number). You can also change transparency settings, fonts, etc, etc, etc. TONS of options. :-)
Explore the settings menu. If you can't find something, let me know. Also, check the images I posted way back in the start of the thread to see all of the new "hotspots" you have with Decent. Once you get used to it, you'll never go back to stock!
Also to change the boot-up screen, the easiest way is to create an "ui_igo9" directory in the main primo directory (where the primo .exe is) and put an 800x480 .bmp file that you want to use in there and call it "loading.bmp" - then Primo will display that image at startup. Let me know if you need any help!

I do not see the logic in this. Many skins provide better choices than just fixing the 3 fields at bottom, which by the way take the place of current street and doesn't really clear up any more screen space for map. I even argued that having data fields at the side instead of occupying the middle of map is better. I want to see more middle than side of a map. Personally, I only care about distance to destination. Some skins even provide option to switch between seeing one or all fields with a single click. But my favorite skin ability is timed display where a set fields are shown when the display is touched and disappeared after some time.
NextGen default skin, to me, looks much cleaner. But then that's another story.

Do not PM me with questions. That's what a forum is for.
I'm sorry to tell you this. In event programming, updates of data are done whether you show it or not. So only showing one field versus three, isn't really gonna save you a lot of resource. It's the "intelligent" management of data that's important. Case in point, do you care more for a Nav to tell you instead of show you things? Especially when driving where you should be looking at the road and not at your Nav unit? But hey, some people preferred their radio over a Nav announcement.

Hmm I already had a "ui_igo9" folder which contained many other folders (the other resolutions) plus another folder called common...I put my 800 x 480 bmp pic into the root of the UI_igo9 folder renamed as loading.bmp but it failed to load my new image.
Any ideas? my new image is attached
Spoiler: pic
