sorry for late reply.. yes I can see nuvi model 3790 and Unit ID listed.

Upon converting to 34xx, I used the Mod_2xxx.exe to update reg_140.bin to enable all features successfully but 3D feature, voice command, video player were not enabled. I think because of sw 7.10 I was not able enable these features. Where can I download the old firmware?

By modifying region 140 you will change some settings. These settings must activate all required features. Such as 3D feature, voice command, video player etc.
Firmware version 7.10 doesn't allow to change these setting by using xml files. But modifying region 140 you directly change settings.

Thank your for your reply. Yes I have modified region 140 directly but still I don't see 3D feature and most important voice command in app menu. I checked again region 140 all the features are enabled. Is there any other way to check which features are enabled?

For voice command you must download required files. Execute webupdater and download these files. For 3D feature you must use licensed or unlocked 3D map.

    Hi

I wonder if you Super Tech Guys can help

I have (had) a Nuvi 3760T which flash the firmware to 3790T and it work great.
After a few months thought would go the all the way and take it up to the 34xx which worked great as well.
It had no Voice commands o thought I would do the enable features tweak, You know what’s coming !
Yep Big mistake now have a Brick, when you switch it on just a very faint glow off the screen nothing else.

Question do I open the bin and drop it in or is there a way to recover it ?.
I cannot get it in to pre boot mode or see the drive on the PC. It is total brick mode.
Its had a good life and was thinking of an upgrade but maybe the choice has been made for me

    Tob

If you have a "very faint glow" on the screen you can get the preboot mode and flash it again with updater.exe.
    Try again.

    What ldr.bin you used? (hwid?)
I confirm that you still have preboot mode.
Just try again with ldr.bin of 34xx.
