hmmm got a quick question, are you guys able to delete letters 1 by 1? cause when i try to erase wrong typed letters with the X mark at the end, it'll erase the entire word instead, i only tap on it and not holding it.

The x on RHS of entry line deletes full line of text.
To delete individual letter use keyboard backspace (bottom right of keyboard or there abouts)

Hi,
the converting is working.The 34XX firmware is great.But I think that we forget something. OK., the convert procedure is OK, but I think that we need to copy in the main dir all files and directories from original 34XX device. What actually we make with this convert? Software written for 34XX device we want to work with files and directories written for 37XX.For example, let see the files in text directory. Here are the different files for the different languages. And the files are different-the menu of 37XX is not same like 34XX, why then we suppose that the text file for 37XX is correct for 34XX? OK this is easy to fix-I am just changing the name of this text dir, connect the device to the PC and Webupdater will find that you don't have the text file and will suggests to install it. OK guys, but how we can be sure that all other files are suitable for 34XX, if they are designed for 37XX? The only way to be sure is if we put in the main device directory the original files and directories downloaded from original 34XX device. So the question is: is it possible for some one who have real 34XX to upload archived content of all files and directories of his NUvi 34XX? Or some one to find it?No need to include maps, pois, JVC, SQlite, G2S, basmap, time map. The archive is approximately 30 MB only.
If I have this files, I after convert, I will format the main dir of the device and will put the original files there.I will keep only GarminDevice.xml in Garmin dir....

I can share original files from nuvi 3490T Europe.

More logic path to replace UnitID or unlock codes by any symbol such X for example. GarminDevice.xml have even more useful information about device in comparison with copies of files!!! Originally Posted by voyager56

Yes pesh00, there is and even more beautiful. Just connect the nuvi to Webupdater and check for additional upgrades, and there you will see dashboard versions which you can install. They are really nice...

The device definitely not working properly man. "Jumping" car icon, not correct positioning in pedestrian navigation, crashes when switching off......
