Thanks Tonytone... Awesoommeeee.... I think the problem was the .plist files... I did follow the instructions the first time the right way... I just wrote it wrong in the reply... But I went ahead and downloaded the updated .plist files on page 36 of this thread and, now everything works perfect. Thanks very much for taking the time to answer the questions and provide all that help....

Tonytone-- The fuel prices work, and I have to say that is a neat feature, it is green when the price is fair... and red when it is expensive in some places. the weather on destination works just perfect, and as for the traffictrends, I am downloading it now, I am in the east coast... thanks again

@Americanlifes... the last line of host file should be like this:
127.0.0.1 gold.garmin.com

Now, all the files you copy to your phone, .img and .plst, after you copy and replace them, you need to open those files in IFILE go to var/mobile/applications, find the garmin app and set the permissions for those files: Owner: mobile, Group: mobile , user: read, write, execute, group: read, execute, world: read execute

Follow Tonytone instructions on page 44, and set the permissions and that should work.

I delete the app, re install

Put the new plist

And the permission are like thar

Now all are working, but the Pedestrian mode, give me an Error. It is impossible to calculte a route for pedestrian. can anybody help me

@americanlifes... User permissions: read, write, execute.... you have it just like read, write.

How to use the Public Transportation Mode, for example, Train.
The Routing options are Car and pedestrian only.
Lets say I wanna travel by train, How can I use the Transit Type, Train Mode?

For enable the Panorama View 3D

Put the gmapdem in library/sdcard/garmin

I bought 2.4.1 and installed it on a JB iPhone.
I can't find a way to properly add custom maps.
I was only able to replace the basemap with a custom unlocked map. It shows addresses and pois but is not routable.
For now I went back to 2.2 with custom plists from tonytone at post #436
