Thread: How to install any Garmin map on Iphone Garmin StreetPilot

Hi i'm using garmin USA with maps from city navigator philippines v 13.10. Everything is working fine, except I can't get junction view to work. It displays a message that this device cannot display philippines JCV files, please contact garmin.com.sg. How can i circumvent this?

and to note: i've put the JCV files on the correct file path

I managed to install the Garmin China Version 2.2 (for free) and I was wondering whether adding maps could work using the same method described in your thread. Can Anyone Help?

hey guys,
i'm having some problems, first POI search takes too long to get results . Second after trying the steps more than 3 times the extras doesn't display a thing just the message "There was an error communicating with the server...."
P.S working with USA Garmin on iPhone 4 Jailbroken :D

So How about it? Anyone have Garmin 2.2 that I can get? Heck, I tried to even find the Chinese one and I can't. But I'd love the USA Street Pilot 2.2.

Perfect! I got the download link, and it works great. I actually found it in this thread, I didn't search through all 50 pages diligently enough! Found it on post #344.

I have a question though, first I installed 2.0. When I did that, while I searched for an address, it would actively search and pull up the best options while I was typing. I can't get it to do that in 2.2. Can anyone assist me with that? I got everything else working, including the google search, 3d structures, traffic and weather. But while I search, it doesn't bring anything up, and I'd really like it to, can anyone assist with this? It does find things after I press search, just not while i'm typing. Not sure, but this might be the "instasearch" feature or something not working..

I did find something in the "search_menu.plist" named "quickspellsearch" does that have anything to do with it?

oh, and if this is needed, I'm on a Iphone 4, ios 5.1. and it's USA Garmin 2.2. using the latest NA maps 13.40.

Another question, in case someone has the will to answer 2! I have everything installed that can be except for panaramic view. I'm not sure if 3D buildlings works or not yet. But my question is I keep hearing about .jcv files and gpmimg files or something that have to go into the .sdcard location. Well, where can I get those files? Or are they not necessary with the new versions of the maps?

Anyways, here's hoping that this thread still has /some/ users that know whats going on! I appreciate it in advance!

I've tried but run into authentication error. From reading this forum, apparently you'll either stick to 2.2 or pay for 2.3 and above. Not tried firewall methods yet.
