@ TONYTONE... Have you lost satellite reception with that 2.2 version? I was just yesterday in manhattan, and said, hey let's test the app and signal was lost around midtown :0 just wondering....

Hi all. Thank you for all the information in this thread. Now my 2.2 is working very well with all the features offered. The only thing is that vertical height points and iso-height lines on the map are in feet but I would prefer meters.
Does anyone know how to accomplish that?

did someone managed to get poi files on the v2.4.1? i have the western europe version and works great, only the paid features don't work.

hi managed to get panorama view 3d on garmin europe v2.4.1 by copy de gmapdem.img to sdcard/garmin and set the permissions.

does anyone have the urban guidance files for the 2.4.1 version? or how do i get the rest to work?

The urban guidance is it activate in some city of Europe like rome

that is because you had change the host files to install older versions you must changed to the original files by deleting all the lines that blocks garmin

hello

another thing the 2.4.1 version as a bug so don't download the 3d maps because after that the app will require always an internet connection to activate the maps, instead copy an gmap3d.img unlocked to library/sdcard/garmin no need to set permissions.

i installed and ran garmin 2.2 usa following tony's instructions. wonderful tutorial post. thanks!

so, i added:
- 2013.40 north america map image to storage-usa/.System/
- 2013.40 JCV Lite to .System/JCV (~25mb)

removed:
- existing base map image on 2.2 usa (~50mb)

downloaded from Extras menu in the app (all these showed up as free):
- PhotoReal Junction View | i see a new JCV file in sdcard/garmin/JCV (~145mb)
- 3-D Buildings and Landmarks (2013.10) | this shows up in library/sdcard/garmin (~183mb)
- trafficTrends

however, i have a few questions:

1. i can't see traffic info at all on the app. when i press the traffic icon, it says "No traffic data." i can add cameras to myCameras, but don't see any live traffic info. did i do something wrong?

2. when i try to use a phone contact as destination point, the address search takes forever to load (actually it doesn't find address at all).

3. (may be related to #2, but i'm not sure) i have 2 different sid files: one in Library/sdcard/Garmin/SID and the other in garmin-nav.app/storage-usa/.System/SID. one of them is dated 9/24/12 (~272mb), the other says modified 4/7/13 (~150mb)

3. can someone please share the files and instructions on how to add the other Extras to my app:
Urban Guidance, Panorama View 3D, Traffic (#1)?
