I would like to inform that TomTom RIDER 2nd Edition comes with the pre-installed map on SD card. As the maps are pre-installed on the SD card they are linked to the original SD card and TomTom device.
If you try to copy the backup of an old SD card to your new SD card it will not work on the device because each pre-installed map on SD card is link with a certificate file from the SD card and TomTom device.
The red X means the maps are not unlocked or the SQL files are screwed up.
Did you try to add newer maps to the SD card???
What you could do is use a blank SD card or the original and connect with TomTOM Home and see if you can download the system again.
Is this your TomTom or did you by a used one???
Plus your Rider 2 is at End of Life so getting any maps or system updates is questionable.
