    Thank you for your answer.
I believe there is a misunderstanding.
This TomTom Navigatore GPS - Traffico e Autovelox v1.18.01 app has already been installed with the Western Europe map on the SD-card of my S20 Ultra for over a year and I have made some updates to the map without problem. Since upgrading to Android 11, I can no longer update the map (SD-card). In addition, I cannot remove my SD-card because several apps are installed on it and my S20 will not work properly.
    Regards

    No misunderstanding from me
Delete the app , remove the sd card and install in internal storage . The same for your Sygic app .
128 GB seems to be enough space for me
Save your films and photos on the sd card
This is the only solution I know

So that there is no misunderstanding:
After the installation you can of course insert the SD card again

    Good News
Today, Samsung offer a [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] which I install.
Although the maps are still in SD-Card, I launch TomTom maps update... IT WORKS I got WE 1065-10704 installed.
BTW, could update sygic maps too

Today I noticed my tomtom app (v.1.18.01) stops working after planning a route and Voice telling me 'you will arrive at your destination at......'.
I do have a Samsung S20, android 11 and latest July update.
I deleted everything and followed the procedure to reinstall it again. During installation (after installing google from playstore) I noticed I was not able to find .obb file.
Anyone having same kind of issues?

    EDIT:
Solution: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I found out that all TomTom apps are giving the same issue!

    Regarding post #17:
I have an Android 9 Head unit with a dedicated SD card slot for the GPS apps. I was able to successfully install v1.18.01_2169 (Patched by DFoX) using the instructions, and successfully downloaded the maps I needed (here in the US). However, the maps downloaded to the internal memory. I have read all 10 pages of this thread, and see there is conflicting info about storing maps to SD card (mostly due to Android 11). I have two simple questions

1- After getting to the step of installing the patched apk, but before downloading maps - are you saying we need to go into the TT settings to assign the SD card as the map storage? (I do not see this setting). Or did you mean the Android/App settings?
2- If #1 is not the solution, can I just move the maps folder from the Internal storage to SD storage? (does it need to be a specific SD folder directory)

Other than my 2 questions, this TT version seems to be working correctly. As you know, most head units have limited internal storage and will not be able to accommodate large map files. That is why they include a dedicated SD card slot for the GPS apps (or to at least store the large map files).

    Thanks,
    ggee

In the device settings, you must allow full access to the card.

Then, for most applications, you will need to assign them manually.
    In system Settings > Apps > ... > App permissions > Storage.

The dedicated slot is intended for software whose contents can be competently placed on the card (iGO, older Sygic versions ...).

    Ok,

Thanks for the reply and advice about the older TT Go.
Yes, my Android Head Unit is mostly off-line all the time. The only time I connect it to wifi is if I need to download maps, or if I'm too lazy to side-load an app I want to try.

I actually did like TT Go (I have mostly been using iGO Primo). My only issue with TT Go is that I can't seem to download the maps to the SD card. I don't care if the TT Go app and it's system files installs into the internal memory (I am ok with that). But the maps uses a lot of internal memory (especially the US maps). That is why I wanted to try TT NDS, and see if this version could store the maps to SD card.

I will try again with the older TT Go, and go into the Android/App setting to make sure SD storage is enabled (before initial startup and downloading maps). As a second option, is it possible to safely move the map folder to the SD card? Will TT Go know to look at the new SD location for the maps?

Another note: I also need to see how to stop that annoying "New Update" pop-up. Maybe I will just install the patched apk directly, without installing the google play version first (and uninstalling it). I think this is what loads the "New Update" prompt. This way I don't have to sign-in to my google account (for google play). I think the TT Go just needs wifi for it to connect to the TT servers and download maps. I will try it this way.

    Thanks for the help,
    ggee

Well. about TT Go content, I just checked
In my second mobile phone it is installed, I have mSD card, whole map content is in it, without any adjustment.
I have enough memory both on the card and in the phone.

As for the warning about the new version, we discussed it in topic. It never came out to me, so I don't know what to tell you.
Browse that topic, I think I also installed the p*tched apk directly.

Again, thank you for the reply.
I am going to try installing the p*tched apk directly. I will do it right now.
Do you mind sharing which TT Go map folders or system folders are in your mSD card? In this way I can try to mirror your mSD card folder structure (my head unit is Android 9)

    Thanks again,
    ggee

I can, but I don't see the point.
I didn't create anything of the folders, it was all done by the application itself.

    P.S. maps updated today ...
In addition, we are discussing the wrong topic.
