To my mind the nds version gave me the more logical route while ttgo seemed to want to take me down a country lane, unsure how this will work out long term though.
Same here. I've been driving in rural Thailand (Surin) and the nds route would take the more logical route and the "old" app would go thru downtown Surin, which ofcourse is a slower route.

Now Surin is just an average Thai town. Try downtown Bangkok with all its traffic and that's when you really start to appreciate the new app and the way it calculates routes

Is TomTom traffic fixed in this release?
    Didn't work in version 1.1.6.

There are new maps for NDS-app, but you have to download them manually by removing the old map(s) and then download the new map(s). The “trick” as before, despite TomToms promise it would’t be necessary… I downloaded maps for Netherlands (“old” 357 Mb, “new” 369 mb), UAE “old” 53 mb, “new” 55 Mb”, now downloading other maps I use…

They are in system storage. You can not access it until your phone is rooted.
And even after that, the software is sensitive to any kind of touching.

    To @others:
I don't see any point of discussion here. This topic is about software package.
All is already said about it. You just have to read, and not to repeat the facts.
Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

    Spoiler: obs
Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.

    @okcrg,

This has been answered many time before.

You can only see the maps with Android 5 or 6

    In the folder \Andriod|data\com.tomtom.gplay.navapp.nds\files\NdsMaps\World\

From 7 on they are hidden and can only be seen if you root your phone.

    PS:

See that this is your first post I would take the time to read older versions of this too.

You will find most of your answers there.
