And TT Go from DFoX is totally different then NDS. The same manufacturer but a different program.

Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.

Now it works! Looks nice, maps are white instead of yellow en faster reloading. I've read this is free software for at long as it takes. Is this true?

Just done an overnight trip from Newport to Wimborne and back with with 2 phones running both the nds version and ttgo and there is a difference in the routing algorithm between the 2 softwares. My htc was running the nds while my galaxy s8 was running the latest patched by dfox.
To my mind the nds version gave me the more logical route while ttgo seemed to want to take me down a country lane, unsure how this will work out long term though.

According to an item on tweakers.net it would cost € 9 for 6 months, € 5 for 3 months or € 2 for 1 month. But that is based on the new (simular) app for iOS.

I guess it's safe to say the app won't be free forever

Same here. I've been driving in rural Thailand (Surin) and the nds route would take the more logical route and the "old" app would go thru downtown Surin, which ofcourse is a slower route.

Now Surin is just an average Thai town. Try downtown Bangkok with all its traffic and that's when you really start to appreciate the new app and the way it calculates routes

Maybe is stays free of charge just like Google maps. Apple works together with TomTom. There are only two big navigation software makers Alphabet Google and TomTom.

The New TomTom NDS is for the South American market, inbuild app-mirror-dashboard.

But we have made it available to everyone just for now.

You can read about it here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
