Can not be startet on Win7 x64
Error Message: comdlg32.ocx isn't registrated or missing.
Tryed on 3 different Win7 x64 systems.
Hi, I have created a universal patcher to patch the BaseCamp and MapInstall.
Hope it works for future releases.
The patches applied, are usually being applied in these two programs.
A greeting.
NOTE: See [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] regarding fix for 64bit Windows OS if you get a run error message: 'comdlg32.ocx isn't registered/invalid/missing'.

You have to navigate to get to the good.

You would think this would be somewhat easier, but apparently Windows 7 by default does not include this OCX file. However, the link catymag provides only mentions C:\Windows\System32. Problem is, on a 64-bit system a second copy of the file needs to be copied into the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 directory, then the commands run from the command prompt to register the file.

hi roger1109,
Not long ago Garmin Mapsource supports, so you will not get new versions.
No need to create a patcher.
The patcher has been created with Visual Basic 6 and seems to require libraries that are not present in the newer versions of Windows7.
I've created and tested on windows7 x64.
If it does not work will not have any VB6 library.
I'm not a programmer and am sorry, no can do better.
I think, the friends of the forum, have solutions to solve this problem.
I have Win 7 pro and the COMDLG32.OCX file was already present in C:\Windows\SysWOW64.
My file is there since 10 April 2012, I guess it came with this:
Code:Please Login or Register to see the linksThe Visual Basic 6.0 Runtime Extended Files include select ActiveX control OCX files, libraries, and tools that are delivered together with the Visual Basic 6.0 IDE media and as an online release
