I just got back from 10 days in France.

How the French Danger Areas works is you never see the place where the speed cam is.

It will warn you about 1 to 2 KMs before and about 1to 2 KMs after you pasted the speed cam.

So you get this red bar the hold time telling you Danger Areas till you have long past the speed cam.

You will also see a sign on the side of the road or highway before you get the warning on your GPS in most cases.

    Hello,

The picture shows the French system for a city whose distance from the danger zone is 300 m, 2 km road, 4 km motorway, the principle is always the same.
We can notice that the radar is not always in the danger zone, it should be in the middle in theory.
Garmin alert can see the end of the dangerous zone, but the speedcam is maybe 50 meters away.
You think you're saved, but we must remain cautious.
If you are not careful, you will be entitled to the flash, the trap of the French system.

Are your results from using Cyclop alert? If so, do you have some examples with GPS coords so I can crosscheck against Cyclop data?

Can someone find out what type of alert is at lon=2.7767944 lat=50.4950953
