At one time they asked me 130€ (!) for the firmware for the MioTV device
I scoured the entire internet and I barely but luckily found it.
Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

    Spoiler: obs
Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.

Waste of time as expected. Their answer:

    Good morning,

    Thank you for your message.

Unfortunately, your device has been withdrawn from technical support and service. Unfortunately, I won't be able to help you in this case. I sincerely apologize.

    Best regards,

    MIO

Wow, many thanks @fisching! I will try ASAP and report back!

    Later edit:
I tested the firmware, it worked, unit was flashed, and it's operational again! Thanks again fisching! However, firmware doesn't involve the contents of a flash disk, which was empty after the update, therefore unit booted directly into a wince desktop. Fortunately, I had a backup which I copied back to a flash disk, and after that, unit booted into the original Mio shell and all was restored.
