Hello on this great forum,
I have a Mio spirit 7670 LM, I have copied the IGO Primo software on it ,(many thanks to @Xtyler92), with maps 2021/2 , the same software i run on my Clarion 2 din in my camper. Everything is working fine
The issue is now that the TMC is not working i think, in my camper on the clarion it works fine.
All the dll's for TMC are in IGO, i used the proper power cord with antenna but the navi is not receiving any messages.
TMC receiver is in it, in the original (backed up)software from MIO are also TMC drivers.
Does anyone know how to fix or test the TMC?

There are plenty of new devices on the market with newer hardware. Some of them have a new gps chip (minority) but most have new tmc receivers.
If they are not intended for iGO software (Mio, Navitel ...) then there are no drivers for that chip (they do not exist).
I’m not sure that’s the case with this model, but it’s a great possibility.
Tmc (and gps ports) is easily tested/scanned by the built-in mechanisms in iGO8.

For GPS ports it is possible to do port forwarding, for TMC it is not, if it occurred to you

You can replace the eugene.exe in the factory test program file with another file manager program you want like Total Cmd for WINCE or GSFinder just rename it to eugene.exe. Then it will boot into that program instead of the menu provided by the original package. With this you can browse and launch explorer.exe in the Windows folder and do whatever you want, even run Primo from internal storage.
If you want to boot automatically in Explorer go into
run>regedit>from the dropdown choose Lmachine>find "init" from the list and double click it?>on the right should be an entry with the name Launch40 or Launch50>double click it and replace the value from eugene.exe to explorer.exe. Restart it and you are on the desktop.

How To:

1 - download attachment
2 - unpack with 7zip on PC
3 - copy on empty card the extracted folder
4 - start the device and after MIO complete start orginal sw then insert the memory card with the related folder, press ok and wait for the device to restart
5 - that's all, you are in the factory menu

Do not use this unlock by any means on Mio Combo 5207! I fu*cked up a new unit. Update went OK, like on the video, but after the update touchscreen doesn't work anymore. It boots into a new menu, but as said, the touchscreen doesn't work. At this state, the device is officially bricked. It's still possible to connect it to PC via USB, but that doesn't help much. I tried to restore the unit to factory settings (I had a full backup of a Flash Disk), but it doesn't make any difference. I guess this unlock somehow modifies the registry or WinCE files and force install the new menu somewhere into WinCE. I tried to use that unlock just because none of the standard unlock procedures worked on this device. I tried to run the FactoryTest again to remove the unlock shell (as demonstrated on the video), but that doesn't revert this unit to its default state. It always boots into the new menu, with or without SD, with the FactoryTest. I tried to modify and use TTCMD (as eugene.exe) and other apps, as Gjon suggested. It worked, but in any case touchscreen doesn't work in any app. Complete disaster! It's officially my first bricked Mio device!
