Do not worry, your girlfriend will love you even more when you deliver a "Porsche" as a replacement for a wreck! :D
Thank you Janch !
I will try the morning again. I will format the SD card again.
Thank you so much for your help.
The Mio is from my girlfriend from Poland. In Poland, only map should be updated by a company. Then there was
big problem. I hope to be able to restore it.

No, she does not get a Porsche but a Trabant601.
This morning I copied the new SW to SD card and then into the MIO Spirit 6900. Nothing has changed. The device stops with MIO MORE screen and does not start. But the screen with the MIO MORE opening also goes away for a moment, but comes back.
Can I have done something wrong?
Greeting Wolfgang
Ok that's strange..Please connect your mio to PC and search for file device.xml, it should be on root of a flash disk. Than upload that file (or open it with wordpad and copy paste here it's content) so I can see it.
Hello Janch!

Yes, this is the file. God job. Now please test both options below. You know the drill![]()
Can the problem be synonymous the SD card? It is 8GB in size. The internal memory only 4GB.
Later I will test the new files.
Janch I thank you for your understanding.
This is an opportunity for me as an old man to learn.

Hello !
I have now copied the 3rd variant on SD card and then plugged into the Mio device. As with the other variants no reaction !!! When the device is switched on, the MIO EXPLORE MORE start billboard appears. This then goes ON and OFF again. When I make the connection to the PC comes the symbol that connects.
I can also see all folders and files.
Would the inserted SD card also be displayed somewhere? I can not see them. is that OK ?
------
Can there be a mistake in the internal memory or in the software? Can it be that the card slot is not recognized? There must be a problem. Only which one?

I appreciate your efforts "old man" !
SD card size doesn't matter, all smaller SD cards than 64 GB should work. Also, when you insert SD card with unlock files (scripts) it's none visual process, all scripts are executed in the background and the final result should be new visual menu. In your case that doesn't happen for some reason and I'm not sure why. Even if the internal memory is completely messed up, that couldn't affect the unlock scripts, so that is not the reason either. Please try another SD card if you have one and always make sure that is Fat32 formatted and than try again with unlock v3 and v4. If that won't work we can go to the last resort - creating unlock menu executing from a flash disk, not from SD, but in that case I will need a complete backup of your device.
Don't worry you have no problem with your GPS memories the problem is another...
If you allow me to join the discussion, the SD autorun was not implemented for these series:
I don't have the solution to unlock SD, but I read a lot, I didn't see anyone confirming a clear unlock through SD. At my suggestion, you should help apply the flash unlock.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
Your V4 version will never work, the SD on Mio Spirit 6900 LM is called a "Storage Card".
I leave here the full backup Mio Spirit 6900LM with maps, fast server:
Spoiler: Backup Mio Spirit 6900LM
Sorry, for my English
