Thanks Birbante, I don't care about losing my SAVE as I'm new to setting nextgen up.
I will try playing the line under [warning] and see if it works.
In the sys that is in the pack that I downloaded at the time, (before the forum crash), there are the categories, so you should have them too, but I've always used Israel with Arimi's skin, her sys, her data and her ux folder.
Category 3 is a category in its own right and does not respond to the rules of the other categories. I also tried to change its lines to have the alert 500 meters before, but it does not work, the alert starts after passing the point and the display of average speeds also starts.
The max_section_time line only affects category 3, so much so that Pongo places it between the lines under "warning" and not among those concerning category 3:
[warning]
is_sound=1
say_camera_distance=1 ;distance to camera
say_camera_speed_limit=1 ;camera speed limit
speedcam_continuous_approach_beep_when_tonal=0
skip_approach_beep=1 ;1=do not repeat "Speed camera."
;speedcam_need_approach_beep_on_section_cameras=1 ;1=reports the distance to the first section camera
max_section_time=240 ;240=average speed zone validity time sec
speedcam_maxdistance_from_road=54
Try to copy all the lines concerning the categories in the plugin.ini of the speedcam.zip file and delete it from the sys, the last files speedcam and sys both Arimi and Pongo are made so. With Total Commander, (free from the Play Store), you can edit them whenever you want and you do not have to delete the save folder.
Rather, if you use one of Arimi's latest speedcams, everything is ready and you have the icons news for you both in the menu and on the route.

but can only work if type 4 is entered in the SpeedcamText and SPEED, x, DIRECTION are specified correctly
There are no stretches with the control of the average speed near where I live and I could not test the .spc files if they work. My tests I made them with fake points created by me.
gpspassiont can safely use the SCDB file, the category 4 has the speed, and the DIRTYPE is 0, that is all the directions, for which the angle of the direction does not matter, (DIRECTION).
The problem is that it has the alert even if it is in the opposite lane, to fix it should modify the txt file with SPUDIGO, but 6400 points are so many to choose and change ......
The calculation of the average speed works even if the speed is not specified, -,0, -, , - ,, -,X, - , (value zero, with empty space or without empty space or with the letter ics).
In the case that the speed is not present or specified we have two possibilities, through the sys or the plugin.ini:
use the speed of the map: use_road_speedlimit = 1
or do not even use the map speed: use_road_speedlimit = 0
With the use of the speed of the map it works all regularly as if the speed was set in the txt file, here the limit of the road is 50 km/h:
Spoiler: image
If we do not even use the road speed limit, the software has no references regarding speeds and simply detects and reports the average speed, here the limit of the road is 90 km/h:

Hi Birbante,
I have only just been on an average speed camera stretch and can confirm the max_section_time works, thanks!
I have noticed another issue where sometimes I only get the first quiet beeps approaching a speed camera, not the high pitched warning. This seems to happen mostly on highways at higher speed? But sometimes it also happens on residential roads. Does anyone know why?
I tried these days, if you enable this line, (remove the semicolon in front):
;speedcam_need_approach_beep_on_section_cameras=1
you will have the warning written at the top and the warning icon with the missing meters at the bottom 500 meters before like for other Speedcam, you will not have the voice alert with the TTS voices.
For the beeps I can not answer you, I do not use the sounds as a warning but only the TTS voices.
Hi All,
I think this is a simple problem but I couldn't find it when I searched. When I plan a route on quieter or country roads the route summary screen gives an accurate time but when it changes to navigation it adds a lot of journey time on, even when TMC is disabled, (this isn't a TMC issue).
I couldn't find any option in primo settings for adding extra time on smaller narrow roads, that could be turned off. This isn't a problem with the map files as the estimated time is correct on the route summary page.
Thanks

Hello,
Does anyone know how to make house numbers to appear on Israel map?
Thanks
I think it has nothing with Israel app
It is up to content (map and fpa files), language, phone regional settings...
