    With some software editions - Yes. You can mix old and new content. But only with some. I think Israel also can use it.
    Just delete old map (fbl, poi, fda...etc) of UK and add new one.
    Btw, honestly, I do not see the purpose of keeping other maps if you do not use them. So, put just maps and accompanying content those countries where you intend to travel, and this in this quarter.

    @ Birbante and @ Boki_Srb ,

    Thanks again you both gave me the confidence to " Give it a go " on my new £250 head unit and I now have roads around the city and not fields .

    I decided to use an SD card for the extra files ( iGo Europe Q4 2018 United Kingdom + Western Europe HNR's ), using the guide to make the content folder with 3 folders inside for Maps/POI and Buildings .

    I just renamed old .fbl/.fda/.fpa files etc on Internal Memory to .fbl.old etc to make sure it used the new ones on SD.
    I will probably delete these once I am sure it all works fine.

    I modified the sys.txt ( and the sys-wd.txt as both referred to the SD card folder ) to make iGo look at the SD card .

    android_secondary_root_path="/storage/external_sd/addons"

    I also added " Global_cfg_748892 10.01.2019 modded by Alain57 " to the internal memory for Igo , renaming old ZIP with Total Commander,
    to .zip.old , everything seems to work fine, so far.

    I then noticed no files in Internal Memory for iGO in the speedcam folder , so I returned and downloaded the .spc files and put them in
    the iGo Internal Memory folder. Speedcams now appeared on map and a warning appears on screen , but no audio warning even though it is set to ?

    So I came back and did some more reading on here and see many are referring to a " Speedcam.txt " that should also be in the speedcam folder
    and suggest modding this when there are issues with audible warnings not sounding.

    All other audio seems fine , navigation speech and Warning Dings are heard over radio when driving etc , so my question this time is :

    Should I have this file in speedcam folder and is it likely this is why I am not getting the audible warning ?
    ( unfortunately speedcam folder was totally empty when I started )

    I have looked but cant seem to see a default speedcam.txt available to download .

    Try to browse forum next time...
    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    There is no such a thing as "default speedcam.txt"
    Download txt files of desired countries (only them), put in speedcam folder, the rest is up to software

    Thanks for the feedback , but I have read loads of these threads , I am not being lazy , just confused.

    I did read that thread before but it also mentions the speedcam.txt files . I have also looked for the txt file for UK but I could not find it , that's why
    when I saw the .spc files to download for uk on here I used them .

    Brown Dog mentions " data.zip\ui_android\common\ui\variable_def.ui " or is this just background info , do I need to unzip the data file and do some
    changes to variable_def.ui and re zip ?

    A later response in thread says : Working, just put files in iGO_Avic\ui_nextgen\audio and set in pongo skin that path !

    So is it a case of find the \ui_nextgen\audio path in my Israel version and place audio files in that folder ? Then mod the sys.txt file in warnings section ?

    When he says " set in pongo skin that path " , what does he mean ?

    I did not ask the question in that thread as I assumed it was a newbie question and deserved to be here ?

    Please can someone help explain this a bit clearer to me , am I reading too much into this and confusing myself ?

    You already seen the icons on map, so .spc works fine. You don't need to mess with *.txt under content/speedcam directory. Furthermore, the *.txt has nothing to do with your audio problem.

    "When he says " set in pongo skin that path " , what does he mean ?"

    It's very simple, what you specified as an audio file to play for an alert (in sys.txt) must exists under the <install dir>\ui_nextgen\audio directory.
    If you're using Pongo skin, you have to set the path so it will know where it is to use it. Irrelevant if you're not using Pongo skin. BTW, default NextGen skin will not give you audio capability for speedcam alert.

    That seems to make more sense now , so am I correct in saying this :

    1/ As my speed cameras appear on screen and a visual warning is given , my .spc files are good and speedcam folder is ok.

    2/ As I am using the default pongo skin ( iGO NextGen 9.18.27.687519 Jan 26 2017 nextgen by pongo / 2017-01-22 ) all I should need to
    do is modify the sys.txt in warnings section and add wav files to <install dir>\ui_nextgen\audio

    or

    If you're using Pongo skin, you have to set the path so it will know where it is to use it. ( Do I need to modify more than sys.txt to specify this path ? )

    I am sorry but this is on a car head unit that is parked 1 mile away in a car park so I have to take notes with me etc to go try the mods.

    I have a sys-wd.txt as well as a sys.txt do I modify both the same ?

    If you need to know how to "set the path" for audio warning in Pongo skin, you need to asked it in Pongo discussion thread. You have a better chance of Pongo users answering that question there.

    No such thing as "sys-wd.txt", there is only sys.txt

    I have sys-wd.txt that is identical to sys.txt for some reason , its a new head unit running android 8 straight from China with iGo Israel ?
    Maybe its the manufacturers backup file for sys.txt ?

    I simply wanted to know if my NextGen pongo version was likely to accept \ui_nextgen\audio as the folder for the wav's ,
    when the appropriate mods are made to sys.txt , or put another way is the mod to sys.txt the best way to tell the program where the wav files are ?

    I see that there is a newer pongo skin version and also that I can choose to go the TTS route or use wav files for the audio of speedcam warnings ,
    if for the moment I simply wanted to use the wav files from here and not do the TTS bit would putting the wav files I have work in
    <install dir>\ui_nextgen\audio in my version after a sys.txt mod ? as suggested here or is this old info :

    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    I really want to do one thing at a time so I can learn , my speech on navigation is fine , I want to do speech/audio warning for speedcams .

    Thanks for the reply Osiris , I shall read more of the forum .

    Hello,

    I attempting to install

    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    into cell phone running Android 8.0.0

    Huawei P20 Lite LX3 [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    So far without success yet.

    Installation apk file was copied with assistance of 'cx File Explorer' from SD card

    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    into internal storage and iGo_World apk was installed.

    On attempt to run application it has complained about /sdcard/iGo_World missing.

    I have created 'iGo_World' directory in SD card [Cx File Manager sees SD card as /storage/193B-BB36/] and copied there 'content/{building,dem,global_cfg,map,poi}' folders with sys.txt of following content

    [device]
    type="android"

    [debug]
    skip_eula=1
    enable_roadshadow=1
    show_oneway=1

    [interface]
    ;resolution_dir="480_272"
    show_exit=1

    [rawdisplay]
    class="portrate"
    screen_x=1080
    screen_y=2280

    [sound]
    use_method="1"
    os_volume="255"
    sound_volume="255"
    voice_volume="255"
    dynamic_volume_type="0"

    [folders]
    ;sdcardpath="/mnt/ext_sdcard/iGo_World"
    ;linked_root_list="/storage/emulated/0 /storage/193B-BB26"
    android_secondary_root_path="/storage/193B-BB26"
    has_secondary_root=1
    content="/storage/193B-BB36/iGo_World/content"
    If the application started I get following message

    iGo World
    Missing or incomplete folder:
    /mnt/ext_sdcard/iGo_World/license.zip:/mnt/ext_sdcard/iGo_World/license.zip(Is a directory)
    The message refer to a directory which supposedly does not exist (I had similar message regarding global_cfg and when I placed it into SD/iGo_World/content the message did not come any more).

    I have looked into installation apk file and found there 'license_zip' file. I have copied the file and renamed it as 'license.zip' and placed it into SD/iGo_World directory. It does not resolved the issue, I still get same message.

    I made an attempt to copy iGo_World into internal memory 'Main Storage/Android/data/com.nng.igo.primong.igoworld/files' folder with no effect. I also find that iGo_World does not see 'sys.txt' in this folder but does see it in 'SD/iGo_World' folder.

    I am not very well versed in Android installation (my previous devices was Navigon 2120 max and iPhones) and currently somewhat confused where software looks for files and where I should place license.zip file.

    Any assistance in resolution of the issue will be greatly appreciated.

    You mixed up the concepts
    Put complete iGO folder in root of internal memory, with just one map and needed system files. Nothing more.
    Lines
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    mean that you can put the rest of the maps there and accompanying content

    Your sys file is from Primo. Delete it, and let app create its own. Then adapt it.
