    Loaded on Internal ROM :

    Flash/Download/iGO_Israel/content/map United_Kingdom_HERE_2017.Q3_170728.fbl

with numerous other maps and licenses.

My question is , is it possible to update only the UK maps ?

As we had a massive ring road put in around our local city end of 2017 and the Sat Nav gets most upset with me driving through fields all the time !!

I have some experience with Linux systems , however after reading for the last few hours on this forum I see how easy it is to go badly wrong when
modifying this software , so thought I'd ask before trashing my Sat Nav , what the correct/best route to go is and what are the easy mistakes.

Hoping one of you clever people can spread me some light on the situation.

    Yes.

In some areas in Italy the TomTom maps are better, in others instead the Here, so I have both. Three years ago I went to Costa Rica, two years ago in Cuba and last summer in Mexico, all the maps in the same folder, each map of a different year and have worked, (without any license, I also have Israel).
Even if you don't delete older ones, the software should still use the newer ones.

To choose the maps I use the map_changer_here_tomtom.zip, it is much simpler than the external application.

Thanks for the replies from you both but can we just back track a bit , I am sorry if I am asking stupid questions , but that's how we learn

You say " fbl, poi, fda...etc " of UK , you are assuming I understand the fda and etc bit . I am a complete Newbie at playing with SatNavs ,
so can you please explain this a bit clearer ,I have read for hours again tonight on this forum , but when you don't know what the
question is , the answer is harder to find, although in my quest I have read some very interesting stuff on here.

To make it clearer for me can you tell me :

Which files need to be changed/added and where to go on this forum to get the best replacements , a link to another post discussing
this would be fine , I will go check out the SatNav tomorrow and see whats in the folder trees to see if what you are saying makes more sense.

And then return to ask some more silly questions

The maps when are released they are posted here , both TomTom and Here:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

and where the various files must be inserted here:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Avoid phoneme files because they create problems in android.
