NEWBIE [and THE OTHERS :)] PROBLEMS with NG INSTALATIONS

Hi

I have an issue with the roads in NextGen being too thin and I have tried some of suggestions here and found searching but none have helped.

I have a BMW 7.1 Android screen with 2gb rom and 32gb ram. It has a DPI of 160 and screen resolution of 1280x480 and shows Landscape only.

I am using Nextgen Isreal with Pongo skin and have tried other versions but none show the roads thicker.

I have used Igo since Igo8, then primo 2.4 and now nextgen and the roads get thinner with each version.

You can see on the picture that the side roads are barely visible even on my 8.8in screen.

Any ideas?

Use ux:
"width_road_x1.5.zip"

You can find it in Arimi's package

Also, for looks suiting your needs/tastes, you can play with parameters:
[rawdisplay]
dpi=160
base_dpi=120; => change this value up or down

Btw, width road ux is active only on route. Not without it.

I already have the width_road_x1.5.zip in my UX folder and it is still showing the thin roads.

Will try the DPI changes and see what that produces

Adding base_dpi=120 makes it much better.

I see in my sys text a line "tablet=0"

I can't find what this does. Since my screen is really just a tablet would it be better for me to change it to "Tablet=1"

would there be any benefit?

I do not think that this command has too much influence or at least I have not seen it so far. But I would have set it on 1.

Hi, I am a newbie and I would like to kindly ask you for a help: I have instaled Igo Nextgen Basar in my Infotainment system of car, everything is fine until the time when I switch off the ignition key if the car and then switch on. Then Igo is fine, but no sound, any sound (no voice, no warnings, no click in keyboard). When I close Igo correctly, the restart, again sound is OK. I am pretty sure that settings of Infotainment system is OK, all other applications are OK. I have instaled also Igo Primo, everything is OK also sound is OK. Maybe something with saving data, because when I switch off and switch on with small pause, sound is OK. Also in Igo Primo after switch on of ignition key I see time wheel is rounding for a second like loading some data (without loading screen after start). Can you please help me? Thanks a lot for some idea.

I would like to ask for some help regarding Online Search in iGO NextGen (version 9.18.27.687519) in Andorid.
When I choose Online search I get a message that server cannot be reached.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Again

One other issue I have with my Igo Nextgen Israel and Pongo Skin is when I have a route set.

Say I am on a motorway for a large distance, the map zooms out showing a greater distance which I understand. At this time the car cursor dissapears to a very small dot and can barely be seen.

When I get to a next move etc or it is time to zoom back in then the car appears again.

Does anyone know what is causing this or what sys command can keep the car show when on route

It is standard behavior, when you are on the open road and tens of kilometers ahead there is no change. Only because of the skin and resolutions, more expressed.
It can be controlled, look in options.

Online search is paid service
Try to use search on Forum, next time

Hi Gents,

I have installed this app on several Android smartphones in the family. It works fine everywhere excepting on my one: once I start the app, it shows "Loading iGO PAL..." and then immediately exits. Do you have any idea what should I try, or are you aware of any log files where I can look around?

- Device: Zopo ZP920
- Screen resolution: 1080x1920
- Device is rooted
- OS: Android 5.1
- App: iGO PAL 9.18.27.719974
- Installed on the internal storage
- Maps are 2017 Q3
- No skin
