Thread: NEWBIE [and THE OTHERS :)] PROBLEMS with NG INSTALATIONS

Hi I have a problem with installing Igo Nextgen (or Primo) on Huawei MediaPad T3 - it has Android 7.0. I want to have maps on sd card and program on internal storage but when I add

[folders]
has_secondary_root=1
android_secondary_root_path="/mnt/ext_sdcard/addons"

to my sys.txt, iGO freezes several seconds after starting
if I add

[folders]
;has_secondary_root=1
;android_secondary_root_path="/mnt/ext_sdcard/addons"

the program will work - it will ignore it and load maps from internal storage - if there is one

it's like the program stops responding when it tries to read maps from external sd card? i don't know why, I've checked many versions of Primo and NextGen and all of them dont want to read maps from sd card - they freeze after start... any help?

unfortunately nothing, with these pasted into my sys.txt it works but it's not reading maps from sd, just internal storage still. Device sees sd card as "ext_sdcard" I don't know if that's important.

The device is not rooted (and I'd like avoid rooting it), the app has permissions to read and write on SD card

Ok, can you give us the full address of addons folder because it maybe different than ""mnt/external_sd0/addons"""

I installed an app which shows folder names as my device sees it:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] - my addons folder on SD
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] - iGO folder on internal storage

looks like the sd card is called by numbers. Sorry for the earlier post then

I installed the gift version as from the first post here, the program works really well and fast on my old tablet but I would really like to get the TTS option for Polish language. DO I need an additional tts engine for this version or does the program support the TTS somehow but I need to complete it with some files? THe tts is seems to be quite a dark matter to me... could you help?
