Ok, that is what I thought initially. You are not using the correct voice config file for NextGen. You have two options
1. Find the correct voice config file to use with VocalizerEx
2. Use the built-in TTS engine (tts_nua_ve1)
Do one or the other, but not both. If you want to use VocalizerEx, makes sure you do not have the tts_nua_ve1 directory.
If you want to use the built-in TTS engine, make sure you uninstalled VocalizerEx apk and remove VocalizerEx directory. I've uploaded the english tts_nua_ve1.
