You need to read more carefully to previous replied. You want both. The base DEM is for global view when zooming out. Base DEM will not have the resolution/granularity to show for regions when zoomed in. So if you're in Europe, you need the European DEM as well. As for coverage, here is the bounding box coverage for Full_Europe_CGIAR_Premium_2006.06_170825
