    It has nothing to do with the system and the software. It's about geography You are downloading a file for the region you are in.
    Standard DEM is absolutely sufficient and works everywhere.
    Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

    According to the file naming, Brazil_CGIAR_Premium_2006.06_180226.dem is newer.
