Thread: Enable features in your nuvi 12xx, 13xx and 14xx - JCV, LA, TTS

quick question, I just flashed v5.8 as indicated here with updater(folowed instructions exactly), everything went ok, I got the done message, pressed OK, but I see no difference in GPS, no limit indicator, I have a nuvi 1200, put the original update.gcd back as well after finished.
I used the status screen method and not the preboot.

is there anyway to tell if the upload was really successful?

BTW: when run update, choose USB, it told me the version I tried to update was same, I told to overwrite, and everything went fine till completion
