It's only possible to get split screen jcv in a US/EU 1xxx if you convert it to Asian. Highly risky, with chance of bricking it. Also you may be unhappy with other things, chance of TTS problems for example. I don't recommend it personally.Originally Posted by masta666
Yup, be much easier if it's important to you to have split-screen jcv display. Lots of other advantages too in 3490 over a 1300 even with splash of 1340-50: ASR, portrait/landscape display, pinch to zoom, DEM, 3D buildings, for instance and so on plus easy mod for MP3 & video players.......... I should probably just buy the damn 3490 nuvi.
