@rubenaires
I absolutely get why you want to do this however it's not something that ppl who haven't ridden for sheer pleasure on a winding mountainous road would easily grasp.

The problems:
1. Your HWID 1371 nuvi 2495 doesn't have the ability to do what you want because as you know it's specifically an automotive device and not particularly suited for motorbike use. The feature you're looking for simply isn't coded into it's firmware and cannot be easily added either without access to the source code of Garmin's proprietary software (which nobody outside G has afaik).
2. To physically convert one Garmin device to some other type, the two devices need to be running firmwares which contain common PCB P/Ns. If there isn't a match of PCB then conversion is impossible, because without that match flashing the incompatible fw will simply brick the device receiving it.

Your 2495 has the possibility of any of these: 105-01925-00, 105-01925-02, 105-01926-00, 105-01926-02, 105-01926-10, 105-01916-00, 105-02067-00. So if you can find a zumo fw containing a PCB P/N matching that of your specific 2595 then a conversion might work, but could still fail. Matching the PCB is only the start. You can read about some known conversions here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Matching HWIDs do usually guarantee a conversion, however afaik there are no zumo devices with HWID 1371. I can help you with the actual conversion steps if you can find a suitable donor firmware with the right PCB but i don't have the time to search for it myself at present. Perhaps someone else has already looked and will post with that information.
