Best practice is to always make a copy of any non-volatile regions using 'rrgn' script before overwriting them. That way you can write the original back using 'xrgn' if something goes wrong. Region 16 isn't critical because we can usually obtain a compatible copy from somewhere to flash anyway as you've just found out. However, a region such as 41 in your 715 contains specific information for your individual unit. Should it become corrupted it's possible to write back a copy, even a very old copy, of your unit's rgn41 and restore that crucially unit-specific info. So before you forget, go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and make a copy of your rgn41.
