Hi;
I wanted to replace the splash screen on a Nuvi 715 from BMW. I copied the update.gcd file to my HDD and opened with RGN editor. Then, I extracted the boot.bin file. But, when I tried to open it with GIR editor, it complains it only can open gir files and logo files. So I'm stuck. How can I do?

GIR_Editor only opens bin files with gir content. Usually, that's LOGO.BIN files because we're looking to change the image they contain. There are no such images in boot.bin and even if there was any, it wouldn't help you change the 'start up' or boot logo which is contained in region 16 [that's why you'll often see logo.bin referred to as 16.bin btw].
