Nice tip for the alternative of using openstreetmaps. The thing is though because they are 'non-NT' format images, they will work in any garmin device including the older units such as the GW units running the fw versions before 4.5/4.6. Only genuine Garmin issued maps are NT (New Technology) which is a proprietary format and has not been fully decrypted outside of Garmin, or if it has they're not saying.
