HELP - Garmin Nuvi 1310 Frozen and I cannot see it on my PC/ MAC

What did you do just before the nuvi stopped working ?
Did you load a Map ?
Did you load some POI.
Describe here what happened just before the nuvi crashed please.

Hi Dasilvarsa,

The unit wasn't being used for a when we tried to switch it on it simply froze on the initial screen which says "loading maps"

Now that You've loaded the cure can you see the files and folders inside the nuvi ?
If you can delete /.system gupdate.gcd and go back to garmincure3.
Do the same as you did before except this time do not "make cure" use "make firmware."
Then reflash the Nuvi again with the firmware. It's worth a try.
Maybe you are still running the cure firmware now.
And what is this "cat" you speak of, the screen should display the Garmin logo.

When my device starts up I get the Garmin logo for a few seconds then it goes to a picture of a cat siting on a window ledge. it used to say "loading maps' underneath this picture when it worked fine..

I send you Backup from me nuvi.
All folders in rar extract on your nuvi.
I will upload in about 10-15 min.

Please do as he instructs you.
./system is a hidden folder inside your nuvi.

In about 6min is uploaded.

Then download to desktop.

Connect your nuvi to PC and erase all folder that you have on nuvi

Now extract Nuvi 13xx Backup.rar directly to your nuvi

If some window popup that you already have this file when you extract directly on nuvi click overvrite

When is all extracted run webupdater and update all (FW and voice,text ...)

When your done nuvi will turn on normaly

Now add map in your nuvi and you ready to go
