Transform a Nuvi 37xx in a Nuvi 34xx for dummies

hi again, was reading post #1 of this thread is it safe to assume to go ahead with

Another way to convert 34xx with logo and enable features :

Flash full 34xx firmware
Unpack the file to an empty SD card, turn nuvi off, insert card, turn nuvi on.
remove sd
and to return to 37xx ,its logo included:
Flash full 37xx firmware
same as above,unpack the file to an empty SD card, turn nuvi off, insert card, turn nuvi on.
remove sd

without going to the pre-boot?

No preboot mode, just with sd as written

Once you learn how to convert nuvi , you should learn about preboot mode.

kindly be patient with i want to do my flash a success. when reading step by step it said to go to MTP SETTINGS Change from AUTO DETECT to MASS STORAGE can't find it my 3760 developers screen is it because i haven't registered yet but i can see the /.system folder now?
