So, that means that I must install the version for GPSMAP 62/78

But my device is a GPSMAP 62 S ( you know “S” means barometer, and compass)
So this last version: Version 3.90 GPSMAP 62/78 is suppose to work fine on my GPSMAPS62 S ?
And what do you mean for:
Patch a new firmware during the progress of update through the WebUpdater and you can never go wrong ...

After downloading the new firmware through WebUpdater just do not disconnect the device and patch the resulting fresh GUPDATE.GCD in the body of the device, then delete the original GUPDATE.GCD, rename GUPDATE_Patched.GCD in GUPDATE.GCD and restart the device ...
