I created a .jnx file with Map2MAPC and apparently .jnx files can't be seen in Basecamp as .kmz files can.
I haven't yet well understood the process although I read all posts. What can I do with the firmwarepatcher.exe ???? Where do I have to run it ? Some people use internal memory, others SD cards ............
Furthermore, I can't find any gupdate.gcd file in Montana Garmin folder.
Yes, you will be able to come back to original firmware, but this requires some skills. If you familiar with fw flashing using updater.exe or know how to rgntool to modify fw version you will have no problems with flashing back original fw.
Firmware patcher is used to patch original fw and then flash it.

What firmware version is installed in your Dakota?
If you have any JNX files in your device, could you please remove them all, and test for a while to check if the device restarts?
Please also make sure that the device works fine with the original firmware.
