The problem with the black screen was that I was not storing the Garmin folder under /storage/sdcard1/Garmin but under Android\data\com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext\files\Garmin. It seems that the latter is needed only for the ORAK's APK.

The bad is that street pilot is very laggy. Most probably ORAK's distributions is better ?
