As far as I remember it was 2.0.
But nowadays it is not a hard task to find 2.7 of USA & Western Europe. Gosh, I wish I live there, so I do not have to do anything but to download the entire map and enjoy it. Unfortunately I did not find any traces of Garmin StreetPilot 2.7 of North America so I guess I will have to try to figure out where do the maps should be placed so to have it working.
I know, I can use earlier versions and upload the maps to /.System , however there are way too many improvements so to use such an earlier version. I have managed to find the StreetPilot 2.3 for North America, hover it blows me off with Authentication error even though the server gold.garmin.com was blocked with Firewall IP.
So I came up with an idea - if someone has the map of North America, can them please let us know what is the name of the map file (in case they are not willing to share the map itself with us). I think this might be a step forward as I do not have any luck making any north america app to load the maps and see it for myself. Of course, if I manage to do that, I would happily share it with the rest here, but so far no luck.
Maybe someone knows how to trick the Garmin N. America (v2.3 v2.3.01 3GS os51)-[*****Lords]-B_H.ipa so that we can at least load the maps directly from the Garmin servers.
Please be aware that the trick with hosts does not work either and even more, I have tried adding gold/silver/bronze , home etc. pointing to 127.0.0.1
Hmm, maybe somebody have newer than my version of the Garmin StreetPilot North America (smth like 2.6, 2.7 or even better - 2.8?)
