Hi deniho - if you have installed MapSource on your pc, all you need to do is plug in your 760, go into the MapSource software, look under the heading "Utilities" for the "Get Unit ID..." link... click it and you'll see your number there.

    Dear socko,

No need to rename the file JCV file to gmapsupp.JCV. Keep the current name as TSMV9.JCV. Just need to load this file into a sub-folder name JCV under the main Garmin folder. That is what I did on my SD Card.

    Hope this helps.

You don't open an .img file.
You can extract the date to use in MapSource with wGmaptool or just load it into a Garmin folder on your sd card and put it in your Nuvi
