    Dear catymag,
I understand your point and also how it works with the img files. However, my problem is very much different because I DO NEED a ROUTABLE version incl. ADDRESS SEARCH to be installed in MAPSOURCE. Why? Because my favorite StreetPilot 2720 does not have the option of an SD Card, and if I upload the img file only it is not unlocked...! I can't upload the separate .unl file in any way.
    Please any idea?

    Dear Catymag,
I did try to remove the old unlock keys with gmaptool but was not successful so far
    Regards
    Erwin

    Dear Catymag,
I tried to make myself a ROUTABLE map from the img file with cGPSMapper Routable v0.92 FULL but what I got was not routable when sendet to the device (all address etc. was gone)
I have no idea what I made wrong
    Regards
    Erwin

    Dear catymag,
I did download only one of them before I tried anything else but it said UNLOCKED. The problem is that I can't use a .unl file to unlock. The unlock for the unit MUST be embedded in the img file. I will try out the other one and see if this one works. I had a chat with a garmin dealer today, and he told me that they use a new tech on the new maps where the unlock have to be WITHIN the file in order to work on the Streetpilot 2720 internal rom...!
On the other hand the file I downloaded from the first page work perfectly on my Nuvi 550 in connection with the .unl file

Which firmware are you using? Currently reports suggest that Taiwan & Sing/Mal firmware & Thailand firmware supports TSM JCV. But then again i am not sure as i am on Taiwan's firmware.

If your nuvi unit is from US/EU, simply just change your firmware to Taiwan to save all the trouble.

I am also using Nuvi255W with SG/MY V2.70. Downloaded the JCV file together with the TSM V9 Eng (no pain version). I still cannot get JCV function.
Here is what I have done.
    1) Copy & rename the TSM V9 download file to gmapsupp.img
    2) CopY & rename TSM V9.JCV file to gmapsupp.JCV

These copies are in my SD-card garmin folder.

Is there anything I miss ??

    Edit:

Ok..Manage to find out how to enable JCV after playing around with the Thailand Map and JCV file. All i did was to create a JCV folder inside the Garmin folder on My SD card. Thanks for the great map !!!

Try this if it works. hope it helps

    www dot 4shared dot com

    /file/131977780/2e0891e8/THSNTE.html

Alright, I've tried using the THSNTE.JCV with the Nopain version of TSM9.0EN and the junction view does not display. I've also tried with the original TSM9.0EN with unlock file with the same result. Therefore I think there must be something wrong with the JCV file.

Please let us know if you've fixed the problem. Thanks.

rougegps, after inspecting the THSNTE.JCV file you provide, I've discovered why it wouldn't work
with the English map of TSM9. The reason is because the file is NOT the English version of JCV
but the Thai version renamed to be THSNTE.JCV.

Just check the file with the Thai THSNTT.JCV and you'll see that it is exactly the same. A simple
way to check is to zip/rar them into a zip/rar file, then open it up in winzip/winrar and
    look/compare the CRC32 values.

If your THSNTT.JCV is different, then maybe they switch them up and rename the files incorrectly.
In this case, can you also upload your THSNTT.JCV file as well?

    Thanks.

Hi, should I rename the TSM9_NT_JCV to JCV ? you put the JVC file in SD card or in 255W ? Thanks.
