Then as Neil said in both Posts 7 & 9, you need to find a GMAP folder for the 2022.25 City Navigator. There's no EXE files used by Garmin any more, that method finished many years ago for loading install data to a PC for CN mapping.

Maybe you're still a little unsure about all this, so to be absolutely 100% clear - there's no way to directly load parts of an existing IMG file by using any official Garmin software like MapSource or MapInstall. They only use install data from the PC's ProgramData/Garmin folder, stored in a *.gmap folder.

It's not feasible, albeit technically possible, to reverse-engineer an IMG file because the result will not contain routing data so it would be useless for navigation other than as a moving-map situation to keep track of your location.

I understand now - I need what I looked all over for but could not find.......the Unobtanium Folder that contains

    .mdx
    .trf
    .typ
    product1 folder

    etc....

I had a hard enough time finding the gmapsupp.img file looks like I am SOL trying to do it the way I tried.
    thanks for your help fellas.
