Yah, there is very little support for the 8xx units around and few knowledgeable people where these units are concerned (that is my experience so far) so we have to find our own way to some extent, AFAIAC. Perhaps the 37xx units will spur improvement in this area however, there are some inconsistencies between the two units that may prove to be a road block, but increased interest will in the long term, help our cause to keep voice commands working.

Another interesting development that just came to the fore for me is why there are differences in the ASR file sizes for the same unit... No one has enlightened me as to why a user in CA has a 1+ GB ASR file with a different file name than any that I have seen before for the same map set. Goofy.

Did you get the map unlocked as yet?

No breakthroug with that image, which seems not to be locked - when Fast IMG Unlocker is executed on the image file, it seems nothing is processed - can i check wether it's locked or not? When the unlocked image is loaded to my device as gmapprom.img together with a mapid:2281 made gmapprom.unl it returns with a "can not authorize map"!
BTW I have compared my 2011.30 ASR dir with other ASR dir posts, in other forums, and they look identical (for 3790t)

I will leave this puzzel unsolved and make the 2011.30 update online - thanks for your support Mikie :-)

to check ,if a map is locked or not ,use GMapTool- If the map is unlocked and if you add in the folder a gmapprom.unl your gps will see it locked- If it's unlocked no need an unl file
