Have Ibycus on several handheld garmin units with no issues but I tried to install it on several marine units including the Gpsmap 620 and it comes up "map format not supported". However, topo canada works on these marine units. Is there any way I can modify these Ibycus maps or header info so they will work on the gpsmap 620 or other marine units?

I tested this topo map on my GPSMap 620 and it worked fine

I made only one gmapsupp.img file with Garmin Mapinstall and placed it on the sd memory card

I installed the Ibycus 4.0 to my GPSMap 620 using MapSource. When I install it to the internal memory it shows up in automotive mode no problem. However, when I install it to the SD card as gmapsupp.img, so that it will open in Marine mode it comes up as "MAP FORMAT NOT SUPPORTED". I also get the same error on other marine GPS units but it works fine on handheld devices like the colorado.
I tried using mapinstall and put in on the SD memory card as gmapsupp.img but the same thing happens.
Are you sure you have the Ibycus maps working in marine mode and not automotive mode?
I'm attaching the gmaptool log file of the Ibycus .img file that I installed. It said the topo canada log file was too big to upload.[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
