Post here please your help request regarding Garmin

I am running mobile XT 5.00.20w/2011.31 mapset on my LG Incite. I have lost the shortcut icon (blue globe). To open Gramin I now have to go: storage card/Garmin/Apps/WM/Que ppc. Can you tell me how to get the Icon back for easier startup?

Which os in your LG ?
If WM6
Open your File Explorer (default application).
Locate the application's .exe file that u wish to create a shortcut for (usually found in its application folder and also usually the most outstanding icon in that folder).
Tap and hold on it and under the sub-menu that appears, tap 'Copy'.
Go to 'My Device\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\' folder.
Tap and hold on an empty space and select 'Paste Shortcut'.
U can then rename the shortcut file by doing a tap-and-hold on the file and selecting 'Rename' (e.g. 'Garmin.lnk' )
Done = u should be able to access your application from the Start>Programs menu.

Hi,
I have a problem with Garmin Mobile XT v50.00.50 (also tried v50.00.60) on Nokia C7-00 (Symbian^3). Garmin can only see the basemap. No matter where I install Garmin and where I place the maps, it doesn't see them. If I remove the basemap, Garmin says "no maps". Maps work fine on Nokia 5800XM (Symbian S60v5).

I am running a custom 6.5 ROM. Your direction was right on, worked perfectly. I would like to have some waterways maps of my area also. I would like to try: Inland Lakes 2010 v6.00 and Vision g2 VUS515L v11.50. Would these work with the XT 5.00.20w I am running, and could I use the gmapsup2.img and gmapsup3.img directions I have seen on this site?

read on tutorials how to rename detailed maps in phones and remember phones cant see maps greater than 2 gb

There are certain elements of these mapping products that were designed for use on dedicated GPS products that will not be displayed on a phone.

Ooops... I'm getting blank screen after firmware update. Nuvi 265WT HWID 827 here. Instead of booting into Garmin logo, it will display blank screen. Web Updater will still detect it and PC as well. Any advises??

you need a service firmware and load it in preboot mode.

Thanks Catymag.
Made Cure file per post putting my HWID 0827 to make the .rgn file, changed all file extensions using XVI32 ok. When it comes to put Nuvi into Preboot mode, it will show white/blank screen no matter how long I have the slider at on position. PC will detect the Gamin folder on the device, I can delete, move files no problem, but the Updater won't pick up the device no matter what I do. Nuvi will stay on white/blank screen all the time since I slide the power slider.

Blank screen will beep as soon as my finger touch it if not connected to PC. Will not respond at all if connected via USB.

Any suggestions??
