I own a Garmin eTrex HC (no SD memory, just 24MB internal). I'm wondering if I can still use the ******* Garmin maps since it has such pitiful storage capacity.
Oh and also I'm not able to access the devices storage. It doesn't show up as a storage device when I plug it in so I can't copy over the .img files etc..

No startup screen on a nüvi 255
..I have small problems with a nüvi 255: when I switch it on or I connect it to the pc there is no startup screen displayed! Only all black till the "nüvi 255 - Copyright 2011 - and so on is written at the bottom of the display. All the same which pic I select (Tools - Picture Viewer - "the pic" - Info - Display at power on?) it is not displayed at start up. Firmware 7.40, had the same problem with older firmwares, no problems with the same settings on two nüvi 205..
Anybody any idea?

Tell me the HwID of the nuvi. If you don't know it just post the Garmin Device.xml file from the memory.

not safe to post device.xlm on forum-
check HWID in GarminDevice.xml-
you'll find a line like this : < PartNumber>006-B1101-00</PartNumber>
where 1101 is your device HWID
You have to navigate to get to the good.

Thank you for your help! I have downloaded, I suppose I need some software to flash the nüvi 255. I tried with "updater.exe" from firmware update of the Legend, checked "USB" and get the message "There are no USB Devices available"...
What to do?
Found it: I put the nüvi in preboot mode by holding upper left corner and powered on the nüvi, still holding upper left corner, connected it to the pc via usb, draw the xxxxxx.rgn onto the updater, select usb and it worked!
I got my logo back!

hi all i have nuvi 3790T tiwn v 2.40 can it support arabic keyboard i have Able to make it support arabic Language by copy some files if it cant support arabic keyboard what i can do to fix this
