Thread: nuvi 2599 bricked?

Hello again Butters, hope you are well.
Ive got my comuter up and running and tried again to get the nuvi going.
Ive followed your instructions 100%.
I can get the nuvi very briefly to appear on the updater section (usb), and it shows the model number of the unit for about 3 seconds. I then press ok, there is a little pause then a window on updater says .... ' No updates available for your product'. Im dragging the rgn file onto the updater.exe directly. This is the best Ive got so far. Ive made the rgn file ok .... Do you have any other ideas please ? Many thanks.

Hello again. I have had another attempt. Im getting the updater to briefly show the nuvi in the usb window but when I hit ok ( after dropping the rgn file directly into the updater. exe beforehand), it just says 'no updates are available for your product'. Do you have any other ideas please. Thank you.
